2011 is still a very interesting and exciting year for me. Rivier College (Nashua, NH) is going to use both of my books Women at the Table and Thirteen Women, about women in poltics as part of their women's studies curriculum this fall. I will also facilitate a group of present and past elected women, including Nashua's mayor, Donnalee Lozeau, in a discussion about why women choose to run for elected office, campaigning, fund raising and pitfalls for women in 2012.

I have also been asked by the Honorable Mary Nelson (former NH state senator) to speak at a session about women in politics to the senior group at Rivier College.

Since I've become so politically attuned, I decided it was time for me to write  a 'political cozy mystery,' A Nice Murder at the State House and it is finally finished . Yes, unfortunately Senator John Nice was pushed over the railing in the Senate chambers and hit his head on his own seat and broke his neck. Not all politicians die in their sleep! A Nice Murder at the State House is now available as an ebook and will shortly be in print.

Please check my event calendar for all my upcoming events. Hopefully I'll see you at one or two of them. Several of my upcoming events have Representatives and Senators at them. Bring your books and get several autographs at the same time.

If you have any comments about my books or web site, please email  me. I would love to hear from you.

Welcome

Michaeline Della Fera lives in Hollis, New Hampshire with her house-cat Blackie, and feral barn cats, Auntie, Tannie, Ginger, and Brady. People passing by and seeing a barn have dropped off their cats to live with  me forever. My new eighty pound chocolate lab, Berkeley and I go down to the barn twice a day to feed the cats. I've never gotten close enough to any of them to hear them purr, but they come everyday to eat and sleep. Auntie has been with me for eight years and I love her even though she won't let me close enough to pet her.

I'm a former educator and special education director in public and private schools, and I've been writing since childhood. My first novel, Trading Faces, a cozy mystery, was published in January 2005.Trading Faces was followed by two others (Beneath the Villa Moon and A Taste of Death) and is now a part of a three book series. Cecce DeLuca is passionate about food and living.

I also compile and edit anthology's with a friend who lives in Massachusetts. Our first anthology, Friends, Stories of Friendship, which celebrates the power of long term friendships, was published in September 2005 and has been our best. Secrets followed and then Women's Words, which is a compilation of short stories by women.

I'm available to speak at conferences, political gatherings, book clubs or other events. Simply email me at mdellafera@charter.net for more information or to ask any questions.llafera@charter.net.
