Women at the Table is still on a roll and I'm rolling with it. I will be the graduation speaker this Friday at the New Leadership program at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics. This is probably the most exciting event I've attended so far and I've been rehearsing my speech for weeks. Keep your fingers crossed that all will go well.
I'm still trying to find a connection or contact who will help me obtain a meeting with first lady Michelle Obama in order to make a presentation of Women at the Table to her. Several of the women participants in the book will accompany me. My contact didn't work out so if you know of anyone I'd truly appreciate the help.
My visit with the Vesta Roy campaign training program went well and I learned much. I encourage anyone who is thinking of running for office to visit them. You will definitely learn a lot.
I am thinking of publishing a series of books by 12-18 year olds. I am worried about the next generation of writers and I want to encourage young writers. If you know of a 12-18 year old who likes to write, email me and I'll send them guidelines.
Please check my event calendar for all my upcoming events. Hopefully I'll see you at one or two of them. Several of my upcoming events have Representatives and Senators at them. Bring your books and get several autographs at the same time.
